Steve Wilson is a senior creative professional located in Denver, Colorado.

Back in 2000, he joined the US Navy right after finishing high school with the hopes of later pursuing a career in marine biology. Near the end of six years of honorable service as a sonar technician supervisor he realized that his true passions would always be towards art & design.

Steve was then gifted a copy of Photoshop 7.0 and that's when everything changed. He immediately began learning the software (through some trial and error) while helping his friend's rock band by creating their identity and show posters. From there he continued on by designing illustrations for their merchandise and artwork for their first full-length album (which went on to be sold in all major retail music outlets). Seeing his work on store shelves paired with the revelation that it could be shared with the general public appealed to him in a new way.

Then, after freelancing for ten years on various projects big and small, he decided to go back to school where he quickly earned a bachelor's degree in graphic design. Learning a few new tricks along the way helped to push his career towards collaborating with consumer brands and well-established companies, now at the agency level.

His current main focuses are different types of category marketing & advertising with a strong emphasis on conceptual development and the overall process towards effective execution. He also highly enjoys any chance to incorporate his unique illustration styles into projects whenever possible. Always up for a challenge, he continues to learn new things every single day.
